I have plans to do some painting this summer, so I put gesso on a bunch of old canvases so I can paint over them. I'm pretty far on my smokestack painting, so once that's finished and posted I'll get a new one going.
I'm still working on that paper mache mask, I can't remember if I've talked about it a lot on here. I have a few more things to do before I cover the whole thing in white paper before painting it. I'm working on re-creating the moon from Legend of Zelda: The Majora's Mask out of paper mache also. I made two half-spheres using a gumball machine (I call it "Tom Servo") in the garage and taped the halves together. I need to add more paper mache layers to make it stronger around the middle where it's taped before I can work on a face.
I'm testing out materials to use in that comic I said I would submit to Heavy Metal Magazine, I'm worried about making it perfect! I think the coloring will be done mostly in oil pastel. The comic's style changes dramatically on the last page, so I want to find another medium that will work well.
Other miscellaneous projects include my Ken doll repaint, which is almost finished except for his lips. I can't get the color right! I have some crap I made out of polymer clay that I had to glue back together because I don't know what I'm doing apparently? I have a stamp idea also. I haven't been doing a lot of stamp making, but I've been considering getting back into letterboxing which I haven't done in years.
Here are some letterboxing sites, if you're curious.
[link] [link] I used to be on the latter site, under the name GSD when I went out with my parents (the name is our first initials combined) All our boxes have vanished in the mists of time though.
I have writing projects going on, a lot actually. I have part 3 of Mid-Afternoon in progress, I have ch 4 and 6 of TIGER TIGER in progress, I have an alternate universe Star Trek thing going on (KhanXJoachim just like TT) I started a parody Flash Gordon fic, I have a utter disaster that I should'nt post ever, I've got a short story in progress that's almost done, I have this poem I just started, I have my soon to be award-winning murder mystery novel that's currently nowhere AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I DIDN'T REALIZE HOW MUCH STUFF I WAS ACTUALLY WORKING ON
I might go to Cambria on Wednesday though, I want to see galleries and bring my scetchbook.
